China National Cable Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred as CCC) has successfully performed guarantee test and charged 132/33kV AIS Substation at Barguna in Bangladesh on 31 January, 2021.

The present project is located in Barisal District. CCC is responsible for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the project, including 2 sets of 75MVA transformers, 1 Nos 132kV line bay, 2 Nos 132kV transformer bays and 2 Nos 33kV transformer bays. The successful operation of the substation plays an important role for the local infrastructure construction and civil life, and greatly promotes the industrial and residential development of the area.

Under the leadership of CCC and with the determination of “fighting the epidemic, ensuring the progress, enhancing the responsibility”, the project team overcame various difficulties including extra-long rainy season, two cyclones, COVID-19 outbreak etc. to minimize the effects of COVID-19 outbreak on the project and to ensure a smooth implementation and completion of project as per schedule. The successful completion of the project shows the spirit and nature of CCC going against wind without fear of difficulties and dangers, and further demonstrates the sense of responsibility of SINOMACH staffs of forging ahead together.

After inspecting the construction of the project, the Employer, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) accords their approval and appreciation to CCC and expects CCC to participate in more projects of PGCB for a further cooperation and a mutual win-win situation.
