CCC Completes Pilot Project of Integrated Solar-Storage Smart Micro-Grid in Bangladesh

October 5, 2025 – With the final battery cabinet activated on the rooftop of the Basundhara Residential Tower in Dhaka, CCC has successfully completed its smart micro-grid demonstration project in Bangladesh. Four standardized units, each integrating 3.75 kWp PV with 5.12 kWh BESS, are now operational in Chittagong, Dhaka, and Bandarban, supplying clean power to a hotel, a factory, a resort, and an apartment building. The combined system—with 15 kWp of solar capacity and 20.48 kWh of storage—is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 6.5t annually, totaling around 160t over its 25-year design life.

The pilot installations employ high-efficiency 625 Wp N-type bifacial double-glass modules, 5.12 kWh LFP battery cabinets, and all-in-one MPPT inverters. Designed to be stackable and monitorable via a mobile app, the systems are equipped with protection against lightning, islanding, and overload. They can switch to backup power in under 20 milliseconds, eliminating the daily 2–3 hour blackouts that frequently affect the local grid.

CCC will continue to treat Bangladesh as its South Asian hub, steadily expanding its presence, driving down the cost of solar-storage solutions, and sharing proven Chinese technologies to support the country in raising its renewable energy share through 2030.
